In two minds

Hi all

Just needed some advice really.

At 15 I met someone who I went on to marry and subsequently divorce. I ain't seen or spoken to him or his friends for a few years but yesterday I heard that one of the friends had been murdered which I was quite upset about.

I want to send his cousin (who I also knew) a message to offer my condolences but in two minds about it.

As I said I have not seen or spoken to any of them for at least 5 years. I know my ex hubby is still in contact with some of my family and one of his best mates is actually my bro in law and I just don't want to stir anything up. I think just a little message via Facebook to express my sadness at this terrible tragedy can do no harm.

Should I do it?

it would show them that in spite of what has happened between you, you are a compassionate and caring person.
you may even get a caring grateful response

I'm very upset by the news as he was a very sweet young man and can not comprehend why anyone would do this, poor thing was only 2 years older than me :(

When my family members died, I found peoples comments comforting. Regardless of who they were from.

Was just a little worried as I said I have not seen or spoken to any of them for nearly 10 years and didn't want to cause any more upset as they are going through a lot at this time.

When I heard about the murder on the news I was disgusted and when I found out I knew him it was a massive shock. I know I have not spoken to them for so long but it just really hit me hard and I cried most of the night. Well I hope he finds a little comfort in my message that no matter what happened between my hubby and me (no matter how much of a cow he said I was) I actually do have compassion
