In the pursuit of tackling Climate Change severe restrictions are put on companies and individuals and hefty taxes are put on us to comply.

But isn't mother nature able to tackle the problem. Only this week temperatures have been lower than at Xmas. There has been an exceptional amount of cloud cover meaning the sun's rays are unable to reach the ground.
Storms and tornados have diluted the carbon in the air. While we have been acting like King Canute hasn't nature tackled it much more successfully.

"But isn't mother nature able to tackle the problem."

"Sure so long as you aren't fussed which species survive the process. Or whether the planet ends up like Venus, for example."

Sometimes you get lucky, maybe as a long term solution, or maybe a postponement of a change. Maybe factors come into play that stabilise the situation, but there is no guarantee. That would imply a diety looking after you rather than simple good fortune.

Besides the local temperature where you are, over a short period, is hardly indicative of the long term climate change.
so flatulent dinosaurs cause global warming... maybe the AB News section ought to be closed down, then?
