i understand this is not a chat room, but if we are learning things from one another, why can't we type back and forth? for instance i'm from the usa, and corbyloon is not. he was teaching me some of the aberdonian language and now everytime we try to learn more we get banned! so why can't we type back and forth if i'm learning something new? i find this unfair!

On the other hand, someone who asked a question the other day about evil in the modern world got jumped on by a fellow contributor because he phrased his question so formally it looked (wrongly) like an essay topic from someone's homework. So discussions must be in Goldilocks fashion, not too hot and not too cold, not too formal and not too informal. Tricky.
As for colour, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
