Taleb Rifai, the UN World Trade Organisations (UNWTO) Secretary General is from the middle east. He has held the post for less than two years. In most of the UNWTO history, it has been led by a european (exception being a Mexican).
The middle east has long been allied with Africa. Egypt a strong leader in the region is in North Africa. So promoting an African is not so strange. Most countries do not regard Mugabe as the bogeyman we do. We take exception to everything he does because we are the ex-Colonial power and Mugabe uses us to blame for his country's ills.

This is absolutely ludicrous. I cant believe they are serious. The man is an evil despot and should be in the Hague facing a criminal court. And dont be fooled into thinking that he is on his death bed. He could be with us for more years than we in Zim can afford. He goes to Malaysia every couple of months and comes back looking like a new one.
