I heard about this on the radio this morning.

I'm really pleased that the High Court has supported this lady. The anonymity of the internet can sometimes result in the vilest of abuses, and I'm glad these people may well now have to take responsibility for their own actions.

Maybe we all need to be a bit more careful about what we post here?

It's not the police taking up the case. It's the lawyers. The have a team of detectives to identify the perpetrators through IP tracing etc...then they hope to have a private prosecution (or whatever it's called)
whoever does it all to the good, too many of these lowlifes have got away with murder for too long.

ummmm - just out of interest, do you know who's paying the lawyers and detectives? It's great what they are doing, but I can't believe they are doing it for free. Or are they?
She was on 'This Morning' today. The lawyer was saying the problem is that local police do not know the law on this so often turn people away with a 'no crime has been committed'

Cases like this will educate them more.

Did you know the person abusing you, Em?
They didn't say. I did wonder that myself. Hopefully it will open the floodgates for other victims.
umm, no i didn't, and it wasn't just one. I dropped the site like a hot brick, after i had complained. I had quite a shock i can tell you, the e mails were vile.
Question Author
ummmm - I really hope so. No one should have to go through this kind of sick nonsense.
