It is reported that allegedly Olympic officials and agents were filmed by undercover reporters offering thousands of top tickets to the London Games on the black market.

/// The Sunday Times said undercover reporters posing as envoys of a Middle Eastern ticket tout found 27 officials and agents who were willing to do business. ///

There will always be corrupt numpties in all walks of life. Not everyone is a corrupt numpty tho.

There are athletes who cheat, there are officials who cheat and there are some who get away with it.

Ticket-touts are not unusual.
i am very surprised there hasn't been more security on tickets and re-selling or giving them to other people. I had mine in my hand for about 24 hours before they became someone elses!
still waiting for mine. Perhaps they have ended up in Ukraine
I thought they were supposed to be non-transferrable. ??
no they aren't but i am surprised. I guess they can't say that as you needed visa to apply, probably some people applied on behalf of others
Hardly news. Touts always find vendors, however allegedly personal to the holder or 'secure' the ticket is. I once bought a Cup Final ticket stamped "Ipswich Town FC", which I dare say wasn't intended for general sale. It was for a seat right up by the Royal Box; must have been a director's ticket!.
