Mervyn King doesn't seem to think so and said the culture should change. Others have said we need an enquiry....we have seen how these turn out after years of twaddle and no real conclusion.

I watched that press conference at lunchtime and it seemed to be all "...won't go into that today...", "...that's for another day...", "...won't discuss individual cases...", and when King was asked whether he was going to show some leadership he gave another load of evasive guff.

They're a right load of diamond geezers.

The fact that this is only the 4th reply to pdq's question suggests that readers do not get it.

Not only should the bankers be removed from office, banned from holding directorships and jailed for fraud, the regulators and prosecutors should be cleaned out wholesale and investigated in case there has been more than incompetence occurring.
