25A in today's Guardian ...

A pass in the French game (8)

The answer is presumably "LACROSSE"

("LE" with "A CROSS" = L - A,CROSS - E)

So, today's the end of term, and after the summer hol's it will be the Lacrosse season again ... so Yay, something to look forward to.

Oh, and my friends' daughter comes home from school tomorrow, and she's bringing a couple of her school pals to stay at my flat for a few days. Are they nuts?? And her friends are going to think that Brighton is a wet and dreary place. Which, to be fair ... it has been recently. But that's something else to look forward to ... taking the GD shopping with her pals.

And the BF and I have decided to go in search of sun instead of staying around for the Olympics. Something else to look forward to.

SO, COME ON ...

Despite the poopy weather ... things to look forward to, guys?

Second half I shall be attending.
For my b'day ginge gave me the money to book a holiday. So I shall be looking. I can't go too far because of the grand parents.

Big family picnic on 21st and our eldest daughter's 40th party next month.
Loads of family stuff.

D arriving from Devon for big family and friends party thrown by cousins who know how to put on a party. Lots staying over in house and tents. Have been offered caravan for night but with my family`s sense of humour, and my liking for Guinness, I`m worried some joker will tow me away and I`ll wake up,hungover and naked in the next county. Taxi home I think.

D`s second graduation. New outfit!!

Plenty of cricket.....I hope.
Thanks JJ. Just looked up the next week's weather and next Wed and Thurs look reasonable but after that? More rain.
I'm just off outside to get on with my ark.
