So the police are now going to investigate charges of murder 40 years after the event, following the findings of the 12 year long, £195million inquiry by Lord Saville.
This latest investigation could last another 6 years at a cost close on £8m.
What about the 53 men that the The Parachute Regiment lost, who is to investigate their murder? but then all these terrorist killers have been released and treated with respect by our politicians.
If there were any charges to be made for the killing of those on 'Bloody Sunday' then they should have taken place at the time. not 46 years after at a cost of £203m.

What do you think they should do? Start a focus group? And what is the relevance of some being shot in the back? do you seriously think the army cares what part of the body the enemy is facing them with? I'll wager you have never been in this sort of situation were you fear for your life, if you did and you had a gun believe me you'd protect yourself.
if they do go ahead with this then i agree with this article

FGT, irrelevant, innocents die in wars. It's called collateral damage, not right but it happens. Personally I don't think there's any value in raking this over again and again. People, innocent or not, died on both sides. We now have a truce of sorts let's leave it there eh. We don't keep dragging up the deaths in countless mainland bombings do we? For christ sake millions of innocents died in 2 world wars but the world has moved on, what about the cartpet bombing on both sides, shall we try the Bomber crews now? Let it lie.
