From the worker!!!!

My first shift went well!! (i want to say fantastic but dont want to jinx myself)

Staff were seriously surprised it was my first shift and told me how well id done!!

I done everything i had on my list. My colleague was a bit bored and asked me if there was anything she could do LOL.

Theyve asked me back tomorrow and another day this week.

I bumped into two charge nurses ive workes with who asked me for my number to call and said i looked fab in the blue haha!!

Managed two drug rounds aswell. They had someone last wk who took 4hrs to do one! Eeek!! Haahah bless em!!

I have to sign off today factor! Last pay tomorrow (£120) will last me two weeks..then if i dont get a back to work payment it will be crisis loan!!

Thanks im delighted! I know ill have my off days but i enjoyed today i really did was just soooo glad to get back to work and to patients! Was thinking as one point as i was giving someone a sip of a carton of juice that i was glad to be back :0) was nice showing the student wee silly things too like how to take blood pressure and do a wee bandage hehe felt good x

Seriously tho tinks - do they give you a mentor to work with on your first few weeks? They do down here, for all new recently qualified nurses.

Full time job yeah they do.... In my case no! I was upfront though told em i was brand new but i got tore in...asked a few questions when i needed (im not so shy lol) xxx
