Will it curb the compensation culture

The TV is jammed full of ambulance chasers these days. Minister are looking to change the 'elf an' safety laws to help curb this.

but will it help, we cant go on like this, we have to generate proper business and build things in this country not just live off the backs of the tired majority who fund it by increased fees and insurance bills.

And more importantly, how long before Bruxelles jumps on us ?

I'm not sure this has anything to do with getting rid of the compensation culture.

Its about time they did something to stop it. You can't watch the TV these days without some lawyer saying no win..no fee for the most trivial of accidents that are usually the person's own fault.

Why not put the onus on the person who has made the claim. They could take out insurances for themselves in case anything goes wrong. We do this with motor insurance by getting comprehensive cover. We take out life insurances. They do it with travel insurance.

So if you go into hospital and something nasty happens its not because the surgeon has taken a dislike to you and wishes to do harm. So the answer is if you feel something nasty will happen take out a pre-paid insurance to cover the operation.

But in law you can sue someone for damages. I don't see how that can change.

So we should pay for cover just in case someone is negligent?

Abolish the liability of companies for health and safety and force individuals to take out insurance to cover themselves against 3rd party negligence!

Great for business and great for the insurance industry!

Probably going into the next Tory Manifesto as we speak!
