Apparently under Saddam it was safer for gays in Iraq.
Some of the atrocities that were committed on gays were sickening and uncivilised.
In the programme it was stated that some gays had their heads chopped off and stuffed into their stomachs, others had their anuses glued up and forced to take laxative.
It was also not unusual under this gay hating religion for arrested gays to be put up against the wall and gang raped by the police.

And, come to that, I have never understood how these authorities can square punishing a man for homosexuality by the use of male rape? How do the authorities and indeed the torturer/police official square that with their religiously inspired doctrine?
