Well of course that was the intention of the filmmakers! Have you not read the articles describing who has made the film, the more vocal supporters of the film, and the financiers?
It is a piece of hate propaganda. But religion all too often calls for books, films, commentary, cartoons to be banned.
Thats the wrong approach. Just like its the wrong approach to go out an commit murder, or demonstrate mob mentalitiy, or attempt to get your way through violence and intimidation. Does that represent anything approaching civilised behaviour to you?
The only thing that such behaviour does, unfortunately, is to further reinforce the perception, amongst the non-muslim global population, that there is a concrete association between the muslim faith, islamic fundamentalists, and the spectre of the uncivilised, baying mob, terrorism, murder, violence and intimidation.
By such reactions that we see across the muslim world, the propagandists who originally made the hate film have won.
