His mistake was that he spoke to police officers in a shabby and insolent way using very very badly chosen vocabulary. He did so in full view of the police, the public and visitors to our Country. The Commisssioner may have agreed with the PM and Cabinet Secretary to draw the proverbial line - but I suspect the Police Federation will not let this die as the man has a history of tantrums in public. Mr Cameron, support this guy at your peril.

Paul, the Police also bring some of their problems on themselves. They are lying, deceitful and cover each other a$ses at any cost (Hillsborough ring any bells).

I have no problem with anyone from a public school background or even any person with a seriously upper 'class' situation. What I dislike is the treatment of public servants by that type of person when they really should know how to behave. In respect to Hillsborough, you are quite correct.
If the press are to be believed, yes I know dodgy ground, there were more than enough witnesses to prove beyond doubt what he said - other officers, tourists and apparently eve some Londoners passing by on way home.
We'll see what happens.
As for Londons police today I feel they are doing a great job. That is just how I feel.
