I agree with zebo on this - too soon - never know if could be shades of Yates in Bristol with the landlord there maligned (and by many here) - his life ruined but cushioned by 2.5 mil from the Sun and Mail et al.

he has been arrested on suspicion of abduction..they have named him.. thats all,they have not made any allegations about him..hardly a case for a compensation claim...

The BBC named him too on the 10 o'clock news. The local people know the guy and once they know he's been arrested its almost impossible for his identity to be protected. Guilty or innocent, we will know all there is to know about him by the morning no doubt.

Being known locally is one thing, but the reason that I know his name is because the DM published it, although it may have been officially stated since then.

sky news have been naming him all night,and stating from local info, that he has a child the same age as april.

The information is that the little girl got freely into a light coloured van from the "driver's side". The van recovered is light coloured and left hand drive.If that van is the suspect's, no wonder he got arrested.

When I posted ^ that it was because I thought that statement from the police meant that the man arrested, was on a Register.... I am currently watching Sky News and a criminologist professor has just said these words....


"I would suspect that the police are pursuing other lines of enquiries still, so they will be looking at OTHER offenders on the register"
