Perhaps this was on oversight on the part of all the obituarists, which would be a huge coincidence; but for whatever reason, William Oddie (is he any relation to the birdwatcher?) got cross and wrote the story and a few other people got cross and added to the blog, and the whole matter was then forgotten.
sp's question is basically whether Oddie might now have changed his mind on whether Savile's religion would be better mentioned or not.
Incidentally, apparently The Oldie ran a story on the allegations against Savile months ago. Where was all the outrage then?
