did anybody else notice the irony of his current partner being old enough to be his granddaughter stood by his side?

I have a relation who worked in theatre for many years in the 80's and told me some of the tales of the going on's many many years ago.
All the accused were well known to her.
The only comment I have is ....Why is this a suddenly a surprise ?

Read today about Freddie and the allegations his spokesman says Freddie is 69 an can't be expected to remember events shows etc. some excuse! Are we all decrepit with bad memories at aged 69!!

He appeared in a popular soap on TV and did theatre as a spin off.

It was a bit of an own goal to claim that he is not one of these blokes who is attracted to young girls ... while standing beside his pregnant, very very young girlfriend.

On the other hand, I think it reflected well on him to come out and talk to the press, rather than being "unavailable for comment".

Time will tell, but ... I wouldn't condemn Freddie Starr until we have more concrete information.

well the picture in the paper today showed him supposedly with one of the saville alledged victims at one of the clunk click shows, and so part of what he is denying is blatently a true.
