/// The Fusiliers claim Mr Cameron forced through the disbandment of 2RRF to save the Royal Regiment of Scotland because he feared cutting soldiers north of the border would boost nationalists in an independence referendum due in 2014. ///

Do you believe this is the reason?

Are there any further sources to back up this theory?

And even if it is true, isn't the overall effect going to be a decrease in troop numbers, whether above the border or below it? This is the UK, and we have one army, not separate regional armies. So why would cuts in Scotland be preferable.

But first - who says this is true?
Where is the evidence? Do you support soldiers breaking the law?
They should not lose their jobs, but the ruperts will make them pay.
Marching on parliament, is there a putsch in the offing? Can you see Cameron in an Allende role?

Yes Sandy one can almost see the tumbrel roiling down Whitehall on it's way to the guillotine, situated in Trafalgar Square.
A minority government, a disaffected army, finance available from the banks (who must resent the stranglehold the government is putting on them following the recent fiasco), all the ingredients are there.

a dissaffected army, is that really so? The media wo uld like you to believe it I know but I somehow suspect it is not true.

I dont believe that it was forced through, just sour grapes and loking for a blame, we do afterall live in a blame culture thanks to Noo labour
