I can't say it surprises me but I thought all these sharp practices had been identified and stopped - apparently not.
Mmmmm, at it again I see, caniving gits.
I would like to see some more detail on this story, but it does sound a bit iffy.
Here it is from the Grauniad, LG http://www.guardian.c...expenses-london-homes
Thanks boxtops. I am still being very dense though i think.I assume that they cannot claim for their mortgages, so they get someone else to pay that by renting their property out, then get their allowance to rent a flat of their own? Not quite sure i see what is happening otherwise.. :)
not clear, LG, it's bound to be devious
they will have nice pad out in the sticks somewhere, they will also have another nice pad in town somewhere.

they get another mp to rent out the town pad and meanwhile they live in another pad in town and claim for that on expenses.

why dont they live in the town pad themselves ?

if they werent making money out of this they wouldnt be doing it
we all know the expression where there's an MP there is an expenses fiddle, it just takes them a minute or two to work it out.
Typical of money grubbing, power hungry, publicity seeking leeches. Can they not find a way of life which would help ordinary people?
Not tarring them all with the same brush but upset that these dirty tricks are widespread.
They swop homes and rent from each other so they can set and claim all the rent and upkeep at our expence. It's a legal fiddle.
It's quite simple; if it is not specifically banned then it is OK. This is the basis of all UK law.
