Is the Daily Mail right to publish this story or should we have been kept in the dark about it?

I ask this rather unusual question because 'The Daily Wail' (as some wish to call it) often criticise them for publishing such sensualist stories.

/// Rachel Bennett from the UK Border Agency said: ‘These convictions show we will leave no stone unturned in our effort to bring to justice those who seek to abuse our immigration system.’ ///

I have a suggestion to make to Rachel Bennett, don't allow them into our country in the first place.
Could you just clear up one point from the rather ambiguous last paragraph of your OP please?
Who exactly are the them that the DM criticises?
There should be no question, finish sentences and immediate deportation.

There was a news item the other day (will post original story link if i have time to look for it), an immam in france had recieved numerous warnings about the bilge he was preaching, warnings not heeded, he was arrested and taken to ariport and dumped in tunis....thats the way to do it.

We should be doing the same. with all these criminals illegals etc.
Is the Mail right to report the news?
What a weird question.
(Can't see anything sensual about the story though, perhaps you're confusing it with "The Story of O"?)
Thanks Rojash,

AOG

Just re-read your last sentence and I think I get it. Your use of the pronoun 'them' instead of 'it' threw me for a second, because it seemed to refer to those that criticise the Mail, rather than the Mail iself (which I think is the subject of the sentence).

In answer to your question, sure the Mail should publish such stories. Why not?

And I don't think anyone here has a problem with 'sensualist' stories. I like a nice bit of smut in my daily paper.
My question on this is 'how did she get huge quantities of HIV / AIDS drugs with out proper medical diagnosis and supervision. Such drugs are highly toxic if incorrectly used and their use is supposed to be tightly controlled and monitored.
"'how did she get huge quantities of HIV / AIDS drugs "

high chance that immigrant ugandan/nigerian whatever, doctors over here were in on it as well

I am very sorry about the way that last paragraph of my thread was put down, this was due to me rushing out before I had the chance to check it before I submitted.

It should have read,

I ask this rather unusual question because 'The Daily Wail' (as some wish to call it) is often criticised for publishing such sensualist stories.
And the 'sensualist' bit?
Question Author
Seems I had a little trouble with the spell-checker also, sorry.
That explains it! ;o)
Yes, they were correct imo!
It's a pity some have to find holes in the post instead of answering it.

AOG, of course they should publish it, it is yet another example of Camerons weakness.
What's sensualist or sensationalist about it, there has been fraud committed, proper judicial process, terms to serve and, hopefully, deportation. It's properly right to report such events, suppression otherwise would be a retrogressive step to the totalitarian state that some may prefer.

Fraud has been committed since the year dot too, so there's nothing sensational about that, and by all creeds and races, so there's nothing sensational in that.

Do you have something sensual to share with us, AOG, a weakness for Carol Vorderman perhaps? Do share with ABers, that would be more sensational than this story.
One could counter that, youngmaf in that it was on Cameron's watch that this was nailed - given that it had been going on for two decades, if you read the article, me thinks the finger ought to be pointed at the shadow bench more like.

Well at least my question wasn't all messed up, at least there wasn't any Daily Mail criticisms over this.

Or congratulation either seeing that the case wasn't published in any of the other popular newspapers, or even in my Latest Headline list.

Or at least, not when I posted my Question, (before any of you rush off and find one so as just to prove me wrong).
The holes in the OP had an effect on the overall meaning of it, I was just asking for clarification, and did answer the one question that was asked.
And having re-read the link, it seems others on here should maybe do the same!
