Hopefully, the jurors in such prosecutions will make up their minds based on the evidence presented to them during the trial...and nothing more.

Nice ideal Jack, but that won't happen will it and I would imagine that a good defence lawyer would milk that fact for all it was worth in trying to get his client off.

And it still does not answer the question of slinging the mud without being found Guilty.

I am clearly mistaken, but I thought in this country it was innocent until proven guilty.

They are trying to get the case investigated and re-examined. No harm in that, if the person/people in question are innocent.

And if accusations have been made, investigations ought to follow and charges then laid where appropriate.
