I suppose the NEC, ExCel and the like have taken away their business. I remember the Motor Show used to be there before the NEC was built.

Good idea as its misplaced for tube travel & parking. Rebuild near Hounslow (airport access) would be good.

Tambo has a good idea, Heathrow has the tube, coach and motorway access too. Lots of brown field sites and a local labour force.

West London is pretty well served by exhibition venues though, isn't it? Olympia is just around the corner - and last few times I went to Earls Court I was struck by how shabby it was all starting to seem. Plus the seething masses of humanity stacking up in the tube station.....

It would be a shame if only luxury developments were considered though...

Many years ago I went to see Peter Gabriel there – both he and the venue were cr@p. I say knock it down now.

it's to do with pulling down old housing estates and putting up luxury flats. Importing more Tory voters is always a no-brainer. Locals object, but what makes them think they should have a say in it?

not a good idea, it's an iconic building and could be used a lot more.
