Sorry folks
Isn't he the grandfather of UKiP?

Or at least had some bonkers right ring party he supported/founded.

I did lime him as a TV astrominer and xylophone player
Very sad, he always came across as a nice guy!
Very sad but he has had a good life.Hope I live another 39 years.Sorry excel. This probably Is not what you expected of me.He was a good person.Loved his shows though.
RIP Sir Patrick, meteors are showering down for you

At age 89, I wouldn't call his demise 'tragic', but with his ‘Sky at Night’ programme, which has been running for years and years, I think he probably sowed the seed of interest in the universe into most of us who are interested. I understand he was self-taught – and considering his astonishing knowledge, that was an astonishing achievement. He was greatly admired and will no doubt be greatly missed. RIP Patrick.
i always enjoyed reading interviews with him, - he loved his cats
nice gromit. Why so spiteful? why do the left react so venomously when someone has a different view?

Sir Patrick is a legend, RIP
He was heartborken because the love of his life was killed by Germans in WWII and he never fell in love again, how sad. I liked this man.
