Are these the same politicians who have made it illegal to smoke tobacco in pubs and other public places, also made tobacco smokers feel like second-class citizens?

If this comes about, I wonder if one will be able to smoke pot in pubs etc?

Naughty but nice. :0)
LOL.
The Home Affairs Select Committee recommend considering this but the Home Office has stated that legalising drugs is not going to happen. So it's another DM non story.
"So it's another DM non story."

Hardly. It's been reported by all the papers and the TV news, and whatever the Home Office might be saying, it's pretty significant that a Select Committee are recommending something that would have been completely unthinkable just a couple of years ago.
jsut another carefully considered report for the government to ignore, then. (See also Leveson.)
I thought Labour had already commissioned and ignored a report on drugs?
They sacked an advisor called Nutt because it turned out the advice he gave them didn't agree with what they'd already decided.

We don't need another government wasting more money to go through the same excercise.
