Has to be one of the lowest crimes possible. There can be no hope for someone who does this, the public at large must be at risk. If caught he/she should be locked up and the key thrown away.

I was horrified when I read this, It is a wicked, despicable crime I really hope this person or people get caught and be given a really tough sentence that acts as a deterrent and not most of the usual soft soap sentences that are handed out nowadays like probation or community service because some barrister has moaned about perpetrator having a tough childhood it's time the judges in this country got tougher.

it is, however perhaps the person or persons have drug problems so they will steal anything that isn't nailed down.

and it isn't the first time i believe that the hospital has had thefts. It's easy to do sadly, and from my own experiences of being in hospital and visiting others there are no security checks in place, people wander in willy nilly.
According to one report some months back millions of pounds are lost in hospitals.
