I find it hard to believe that, he is homophobic, racist and been through several marriages, a goodlooking jack-the-lad, not one I would have thought to be pervy. Girls would probably have thrown themselves at him - jail bait if you like, now they come back years later bleating about it.
I used to think he was OK myself, a naughty twinkle in his eye, and I don't think I would have been the only one bluestone. I didn't know Rolf was involved in all that.
You forgot "alcoholic", Maidup. He's now in recovery, but he had to have a half-bottle of brandy at the side of the stage, so he could take a good glug of it when he went on, and top himself up at breaks.
Bluestone is right- you can be formally arrested if the police think that you are a material witness to a case, not necessarily the criminal, but being dishonest in your testament could, potentially, lead to "perversion of the course of justice" charges.
I've heard that that's also the case with Max Clifford: they're not saying he's abused anyone but they're concerned about information he may have from his clients. All subject to what charges may subsequently be laid, of course.
You are never arrested as a witness in England. It would be a bit pointless, since you are told that you need not say anything and might opt for that course. The police have to have some reasonable grounds for suspecting that a crime has occurred and you committed it. However, the crime might be that you acted to facilitate a sexual offence or that you took steps to conceal it and the offender when it had occurred, thereby assisting the offender.
When was Rolf arrested Bluestone? I have not heard that. Was it before Christmas? I read an article earlier that a celebrity who had been a children's presenter who is now in his 80s is in the Priory Clinic under suicide watch - been in there over Christmas as he is suffering so much with mental issues at being unfairly accused. Would it be Rolf, if so I doubt it very very much.
