This trial doesn't seem to have attracted much media attention, I wonder why?

2) Because if anyone reports on it and prejudices the trial, they will be imprisoned/fined. Reporting will happen when the convictions go in.

The trial has just commenced and there were reporting restrictions in place prior to this.

By reports on it I mean speculates as to the whys or wherefores, not reports the trial.

i would hazard a guess that there has been considerable pressure to keep this under wraps, the police need time to assemble evidence and for the law to make it's case.

Probably there are so many of these cases involving Muslims (which is what I assume they are, since you raise the matter) that nobody bothers to treat them as newsworthy , aog ! Or it might just be that there was nothing much to report before the trial started ,if only because of restrictions on reporting.

sandy, perhaps, but you have to admit the law has taken it's time in the past over these sorts of cases, now they get prominence, can one hope that they get less over time. Better detection, and better conviction rates might deter would be abusers like this.

EM10, I agree. It does seem that the authorities in the recent past were as reluctant to deal quickly and robustly with these type of cases as they appeared to have been in dealing with allegations against Savile.

The trial hasn't gotten much media attention because there is a nationwide liberal conspiracy to withhold such topics from debate.

Newspapers, websites and bloggers who write about such cases are often shut down and their proprietors killed.
