Hi flower90, have you been sitting in the sun?? There is a condition called Polymorphic Light Eruption. It can happen at any time in your life and for no particular reason. I can go out in the sun but if I sunbathe for a while it appears. If I go on a holiday abroad, I now have to be armed with SF60, it's the only thing that stops it coming out. It's a massive pain in the rear.

If you haven't been in the sun....don't know!

Hi, I never used to be allergic to fake tans but I am now.  It also brings me out in a rash and itchy bumps.  Perm. fake tans contains Dihydroxyaceton (DHA) which is a non-toxic substance that reacts with the cells in the outermost layer of the skin and produces a brown (colour) pigment called melanoidin.  I can't use any perm. fake tans as all of them contains this.  The only way I get around it is using the wash off fake tans.  I've found a good one from Rimmell called Shimmer.

Anyone can become allergic to anything at any time in their lives. Over exposure can be a factor. I for example developed hayfever after 34 years free from it. My mother is now allergic to strawberries after 60 years of no trouble. It is just one of those odd medical things. Let the rash disappear completely (your life won't end for the sake of a couple of weeks) then try a hypoallergenic tan. Good luck
