Having A Good Idea Noticed!

In my role at work, from time to time, I have a good idea which may increase efficiency or improve the conditions for staff. However, all too often these ideas are deemed as not cost effective or not feasible for one reason or another. So imagine my suprise today when the funds for an idea I proposed late last year have been approved.
It is satisfying to be able to take my idea forward and develop into the business.
Only draw back, I am accountable if the idea turns out as working a lot better in my head than in practice!!

Congratulations and good luck.
such is life, jd......but, without risk, nobody pushes things forward in developing a business, or ideas and inventions. remind people that they agreed with you at the time!!!!!

LOL

Well done anyway.
Well they must have seen some merit in your idea Jd or they would not have funded it.
Think positive and you'll be just fine!

Congratulations jd, I'm sure everything will be fine.
I hope the idea works out.

When I was working I used to come up with brilliant ideas on a regular basis. They all made sense in my head.
Alas very few made sense to anyone else. It puzzled me as to how I could be working with so many idiots (even in the civil service) but I will concede that my manic phases of bipolar disorder may have been responsible for my plans and schemes.

Ahhh, now see, that's why you never ever pick up the ball and run with it. If you get an idea, beat it back into submission, keep your head down and never mention it!

Good luck though!

No it is a very practical solution to what I considered an obvious draw back that we had on site.
I have also factored in a way of recouping the costs with a new revenue stream, which i think sold our directors as the improvement costs will be met by Spring (ish) 2015.

Thanks, looking forward to seeing my plan in action soon
well done jay dee

it does make it less likely tho that you will set yourself up in your own business because that is the only way you can get your ideas....

jd...are you an MP.......no silly me they never become accountable..good luck.
It all comes down to money at the end of the day.
Congratulations jd, hope all goes well for you. Over the years I had a number of ideas, which were rejected at the time and then six months later were introduced as the idea of the managing director.
congratulations. you must feel good about that. Hope the outcome is ok for you. I often have ideas at work which dont even cost anything but because others didnt think of it, its often sneered at. Good luck
well done jd

even if it does not work - at least you are noticed by the bosses for your ingenuity, and that could be good for you in the long run

at my work we have an 'engagement' committee (i'm on it) and the point is to engage the work force and encourage ideas and suggestions to make the colleagues feel better about working .. it has yielded some results
