This was in the news before the first trial,in one of the Sundays. It only has prominence now because the last jury asked about witnesses or potential witnesses they never saw. The prosecution have decided to explain the absence of this witness from this trial, lest this jury wastes its time speculating.
Totally ignorant to miss the camera in the first place, totally arrogant to attempt to evade the points by persuading his wife to take the penalty.
The irony is that, in a further display of arrogance, he was caught talking on his mobile whilst driving just 3 months later, was penalised 3 points and lost his licence anyway.
Mind, It does seem Mrs. Pryce bears a fair share of blame in all of this. She agreed to take the points to start with, and then leaked the story as a means of revenge.
Pretty squalid story all round really, poor and selfish behaviour displayed by all parties involved...
