Seems like a good idea, but don't you think that the cyclist should pay towards the cost of this £900million 'cross-rail for cycles'?

Whilst walking on the pavement or crossing over the road, I have been sworn and spat at, mown down, bashed into, it gets on my ruddy nerves.
pdq this is my experience, as a pedestrian they have spoiled the now necessary leisurely stroll along the canal ways, as they treat them like race tracks, notices are up but no one takes any notice, stroll through the park, you hear them first, ding ding, get out the effing way not supposed to cycle in parks certainly not in our smaller ones, as there just isn't room. Little children have to be as aware as seen many a near accident, one lad on a bike almost killed a toddler, if his mum hadn't pulled him out the way just in time... it's been problematic for a while, exacerbated by the Barclays bicycle scheme. No problem if they obey the laws, but many do not...
