Mm And Km Links March 2013 Week [2]

Tempus Fugit - just realised the time/day.
'Queen Kay' (aka evsajo) is settling into her role as setter but is currently fighting BT to restore her connection to the outside world - including theAB. Consequently, tomorrow's challenge may have to be posted by myself. You'd be hard pushed to score lower than last weekend so higher scores are (almost) guaranteed. To collect one or more of those points, log in to Q&P tomorrow morning at 8:45 for the introduction and then have a guess at the link words at 9am. New players are always welcome. Early players are more likely to earn bonus points, but play any time before 7pm Sunday.
If you are in Q&P early tomorrow morning waiting for the MM Links game, then why not have a go at our sister game (The KM Links) for practice? That game is based on the GK crosswords in the Daily Telegraph on Sat/Mon and is managed by Seekeerz. No rush to play that version because there are no time-sensitive bonus points and you can play any time up to midnight on Sunday.
Regardless of the threat of late snow, spring has sprung in the shrubbery with the ground under the shrubs awash with white snowdrops. Elsewhere the daffodil buds are swelling ready to burst open. The seal on the whisky bottle in the potting shed has been broken so its contents must be consumed this evening by visitors to this thread. http:// www.gls wrk-auc tion.co m/WebPi cs/033. 09.jpg
The remainder of this shrubbery thread is now open for socialising.
I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow morning in Q & P.
Until then,
Happy Linking

Depressing news about forecast of further snow, just when I thought the temperature was improving. And the new pond is currently inhabited by several frogs who are doing what frogs do at this time of year, so I don't know what they'll make of ice on the surface.....
Time to stay indoors and do crosswords and quizzes.

No it was so hard. They become part of the family don't they? Wehave her ashes back and we are going to put them in her favourite spot in the garden and plant a rose tree over her. The girls and hubby took it really badly.
I was a bit busy this week having my gall bladder out! They managed it by keyhole on tuesday, after a struggle apparently, so I should recover quickly. Not doing too bad so far. I was home less than 24 hours from start to finish!

Well I do believe to have loved and lost is better than to never have loved at all. Thats why I let the girls have pets, to teach them how to care for a living creature and that life isn't all sweetness with no upsets. It was good how they handled it, and were very brave.
I am behaving myself as much as I can...I tend to ignore pain and get on with it. But I know I was lucky that it could be done an easier way, so I will do my part and help the healing.

Sorry to hear of your loss Pauline, but you've got the right attitude about pets.
Remember to do what the doctors order. I also had my gall bladder removed last October, but they had to remove half of my liver too, so made a large cut. Hopefully when I see the surgeons the week after next they'll say that I can play golf again and have some alcohol (couldn't take up Gen2's offer of a whisky tonight!).
