Mm Links March 2013 Week 4

Good Morning all,

I am writing this as I sit freezing in my house, surrounded by furniture. My front door and conservatory door are wide open as the carpet fitter is coming in and out. (I live in a small 2 bedroom starter home so that’s why it’s so cold.)

Two weeks ago I had a disastrous week and one of the disasters was to spill a bottle of paint brush cleaner on the conservatory carpet. After 2 days I realized that no matter what I did, the smell would not go away so I decided to take the carpet up. I pulled and pushed to get the carpet from under the settee then suddenly thought “Why am I trying to get this out in one piece” ?? Yes, airhead Kay again !! I found my Stanley knife and cut it up into small pieces.

Having measured the floor, I then ordered a new carpet. I had to empty the conservatory so I am now surrounded by everything that was in there including; sewing machine, tumble drier, lamp, settee etc etc. Thirty minutes on and the new carpet is now laid. The fitter has had his cuppa, been paid and gone. I now have the job of putting everything back but at the moment lunch seems a much more interesting idea. So for now, a tumble drier in front of the gas fire with a sewing machine on top is quite a nice feature !!

According to normal practice, for the everyday running of MM, I shall follow this rule on word length, in that each of my pre-selected link words contains at least four letters and at most eight letters. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts!

Each of the selected link words may go in front of, or behind my challenge word to make a new longer word or to make a well-known phrase or saying. The combination will never be a person's name.

The competition will officially close on Sunday Evening at 7.00pm, when gen2 will declare my pre-selected words and then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past. My set of four words to have their links predicted should appear below at 9.00am.

Wouldn't like to have my door open here with the wind we've got. Not a lot of snow fell through the night but it's drifted, so not good. Got thermals, jumper, jumper dress and gilet on and that just for in the house with the heating on, so I'm definitely not going out. The wind is blowing through you and not round you.
