Judging by the headline I thought that this thread was a criticism of David Milliband in some way.

But then the whole content was rather confusing, first the headline, then a piece regarding David Milliband, interrupted by reference to Mr Di Canio, and then back to the former foreign secretary, and then once again back to Mr Di Canio,

As regards to whether or not a self confessed fascist is the right person to represent a Premiership Football Team?

I can see nothing wrong with it providing his politics doesn't in anyway affect the running of the football team, just as it wouldn't if he happened to be a self confessed communist.

Di Canio has played and managed in this country for many years before arriving at Sunderland.
Why mention his politics now?
Unless he has all the non Italians at Sunderland shot(i.e all the players) I can't see what the problem is.
I thought Miliband was emigrating anyway.
