My pet hate is seeing cars parked with two wheels on the pavement when it is not really necessary. This to me is an act of vandalism which causes thousands of broken pavements which must cost councils a fortune to repair. Pavements are not built to take the weight of cars, this I why tarmac is put across drives. If we saw youths causing so much damage there would be an outcry so why not thoughtless drivers.
what really annoys me? The young lads of about 10 years old on the train this afternoon, f-ing and c-ing at the tops of their voices and behaving as if they owned the train. No point in saying anything, they'd direct their foul language to me if I did. Horrible.
Mothers screaming at their children, dog walkers tugging so hard on the lead they almost take the poor dogs' head off, inconsiderate road users ( many reside on The Isle of Wight ) . People who do not use common courtesy .
Like the philosophy of the roman Seneca . Think that everyday day will turn out badly, all the people you come into contact with will be self seeking and boorish. When you go to bed you won't be disappointed and in the event that something good has happened, you will be delighted.
I bet you're the little arrogant Snag who deliberately blocks me when I'm filtering through - no advantage to you, but can't stand seeing me getting on ...
Drivers who cut corners so much that you need to stop to let them round.
Holding a door open for someone and they march right through without saying thanks.
My neighbours, Who don't park properly. The family's who Mic sat with so they could get out for an hour, who don't even knock on the door now. When I think of the jobs. car journeys he did for them, with no expectation of reward, He was being a good neighbour.
Most bikers and most car drivers are friendly enough & co-exist quite happily - for every one who deliberately closes a gap on me there are 20 who move just a few inches across to make it easier.
I agree about cars and cyclists - it horrifies me how little room many people give a (potentially) wobbly bike as they whizz past.
