Especially after the recent bad news about London youth crime?

http://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/london-crime-down-overall-but-surge-in-phone-snatch-thefts-8584411.html

This bit is particularly interesting:

The number of gun and knife crime offences were both down by 20 per cent - partly, police claim, because of operations to seize weapons from gangs

Good stuff eh?

Yes, but a lot is still to be done. A good sign and I hope it continues.
The number of knife crime offences reported, prosecuted or convicted?
Another bus stabbing yesterday.
Interesting to note a reclassification of certain theft offences, i.e., phone snatch thefts. I would suggest a majority of these were in fact more consistent with the offence of robbery and rarely detectable hence the made up reclassification.
