What would happen if he seeks sanctuary once in Britain, would he still have to stand trial in the Hague?

If we invite him to the UK - will he do a Qatada and dig his heels in?
If he does it may lead to a lengthy court case, I suppose, but it's hard to see how he could avoid extradition. The UK recognises the International Criminal Court, and since there's no fear of torture to my knowledge he'd be hard-pressed to resist extradition for long.

Like the song goes: Just Say No.
