the first • They believe in jihad, or armed resistance, anywhere in the world. This would include armed resistance by Palestinians against the Israeli military. (its the second sentence here im referring to)


the second • They fail to condemn the killing of British soldiers in Iraq or Afghanistan.


so does this mean that if i support armed resistance by palestinians and wont condemn the killing of british soldiers in those countries i would be viewed as extreme yet my mate who isnt muslim but has same views wouldnt be?

On the other hand, christians who argue that the bible bans homosexuality and it is a sin against god, would not be regarded as extremist.

not really jno .. and i wonder if the bit here "Those considered extreme would not be targeted by the criminal law, but would be sidelined and denied public funds" means that if this was unleashed on us that i would lose my working tax credit or JSA if i was signing on, any housing benefit etc but my mate can say what they like and still have theirs.....

I think the first point to note . This is not government policy, it's not even a draft. It's one of hundreds of notes/ reports produced by civil servants for things to be taken into consideration by officials when considering security.

No it would't in isolation but if it was said by the BNP then it takes on a different connotation.
Anyone who actually puts someone to death for homosexuality as they did in Saudi Arabia can rightly be considered an extremist and remember this has been reported in recent years in several Muslum countries .

That's vastly different from just arguing against it because it's in the bible.

Pretty appalling double standards. As you know I'm not Muslim but I think the Palestinian armed struggle is perfectly understandable and I also think that casualties in any war are inevitable. We are in Afghanistan and Iraq as an occupying force to some of the people who live there, they really don't see that we are there to help because that's a subjective thing. It seems wrong I can hold these views as a Jew or Pagan ( depends on your viewpoint) but if you as a Muslim hold the same views you might be flagged as being radicalised and dangerous.

though i must admit, my views on whats happening in palestine and what should be done are actually in support of the first bit of the sentence as well as agreeing to armed resistance by the palestinians..... then again i would be seen as 'extremely extreme' rather than being seen as supporting a war on terror which is what the majority of the western world seems to support to defend their own or whatever reasons they come up with
