Because Muslim culture tends towards the worth and wants of the boys of the family - as against the usefulness and marriageability of the girls - i would say this is exactly what you could expect.

We did' hunt them down' in the 60s. Don't you remember the' p*** bashing' days when white lads beat the hell out of the Asian lads for going out with white girls. That was in Rochdale in the 1960s. Wasn't always the Asians lads fault because some of our girls were only too willing to associate with them.

P*** bashing was not quite what I had in mind :) I was thinking of 18 years and more in sentencing after full police investigation, as opposed to police ignoring complaints and social services happily letting vulnerable, delinquent, girls be taken away by total strangers, middle aged men, from the very doors of child homes.

The people who condone this should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves, the mother of the two blokes should be thankful it wasn't her daughters being assaulted, raped by a gang of white youths, she would scream like mad had that been the case, called them , trash, scum, heavens what does it take for some to see this as vile abuse of innocents.

This woman is guilty of making stupid and unhelpful remarks but of course, in a country like Britain, she is free to be stupid she likes. Its not easy to think that if she lived in a place, like Saudi Arabia. or another backward, repressed society, she would have been able to express her views as freely.

However, the parents and guardians of these poor young girls must take some blame in this affair. Why were 12 year old girls allowed out late at night, so that they got into trouble ? A lot of these children were taken into care because of their parents apparent inability to bring them up properly.

But what does "care" mean, if the Local Authority had so little concern and control over them that they were sucked into this life of complete degradation ? Lots of guilty people here, not just the low-lifes in the Dock.

The Police and Local Authority seem to have got off scot-free yet again.

Its worth remembering that Asians are not the only Rochdale residents guilty of abusing children. There is a certain enormously fat, ex-Mayor of Rochdale and later its Liberal MP, now deceased, that appears to be suspected of horrible offences against little boys. Say what you like about Cyril Smith, Saville, Stuart Hall, etc, etc....they were most certainly not Asian or Muslim.
