If he wasn't the driver though, then what state was the driver in ? He or she doesn't appear to have done anything to help or even stop promptly. Maybe it's the old joke revisited [ " Sir,your wife fell off the pillion seat of your bike 2 miles back" "Oh, thank God for that, officer; I thought I'd gone stone deaf" ]

bazwillrun - if you walked past an addict that was in a dire state on the street in London or somewhere and they were there because they became dependant on substances to get them past something that has happened in their past or because they have depression etc, would you say the are a disgrace? Or would you only condemn people such as George Michael who are wealthy? Personally, I think you are only condemning him because he is wealthy but addiction and mental health problems affect everybody - they don`t discriminate. It`s a shame that onlookers discriminate.
SJ - people (famous or not) must take responsibilty for their own actions, sorry but I am fed up with excuses such as 'I drink/take drugs blah blah' because of X.
Everybody from all walks of life have problems & stuff to deal with but not all of them resort to disgraceful behaviour, I they do then thats their choice.

Have you read the article Kosmos? I suggest you do.
the strapline is //according to an eyewitness//, and that's the source that verifiesthe rest of the story relevant to this incident.
It happened a week ago and no charges have been brought.
He was banned from driving for five years in 2010. Which would take us to??
Cheap journalism, and a slack day at the Indy

SJ - thats not quite the same, we do not know that mans circumstances but we do know that GM has had chance after chance to get himself together (as well a finances for treatment/counselling) and has CHOSEN not to.
If YOU had behaved like he has over the past few years would you not be ashamed of yourself? If that was your son would you be proud?
