What this dumb blonde also failed to realise with her post is that NOBODY in the UK pays road tax.
I hope the Police prosecute to the letter of the law.

I wonder if she actually thought that knocking someone of their bike - possibly injuring them badly, even causing their death - was something to be proud of? That she would get lots of affirmatory tweets back, saying congratulations, or well done you, that shows those pesky bikers a thing or too kind of messages?
On the face of it, she sounds pretty callous and self-obsessed. She sounds a thoroughly unpleasant individual......

There are some who use the roads but do not pay the tax, however they still have to display a tax disc, why should cyclists be any different?

Sorry to go off on a tangent, a few things I need to correct
My comment to MadMen was largely in jest, as I am sure was her own about cycling on the pavement. Having been nearly mowed down on more than one occasion.
She rightly points out I am partially sighted (teehee what a giggle eh) But wrongly assumes I am a pensioner.

I think there needs to be major reform of how cyclists are perceived by the public and treated by the law. I'm a cyclists myself (when I can be bothered to get up, anyway) but have had no formal training on the rules of the road. I try to do my best but many others appear not to, and I slip occasionally myself. Probably more often than I'm aware of, if it comes to that.
Regardless, cyclists are not the enemy and shouldn't be treated as such by motorists. But it would help, too, if there were better training for cyclists before allowing them on the roads, and more provision of cycle lanes to reduce the time they have to spend on those roads anyway.
Where I live at the moment is pretty good for cycling provisions (perhaps there are so many of them) but is not perfect and the lack of training is very noticeable. Jumping lights, riding without awareness of others and even being in the wrong lane are surprisingly common.

Aw, poor girl. She's very sorry for herself (but not the guy she injured) bless her and is obviously a victim:

Good of her to turn up at the BBC with her brief though.
