Is it right to allow these 'paid' foreign employees of the UK, the right to reside in this country?
It is said they will receive free travel to the UK and accommodation paid for their first three months.

As Octavius has said, 26 have been killed. According to your own link, Mohammad Rafi Hottak was tortured, and the Taliban have promised to kill any they can get their hands on.

@ AoG And you have offered nothing to suggest your opinion about why we are in Afghanistan is informed by, well anything beyond penny pinching and a suspicion of foreigners really.
Our decade of putting our servicemen on the line and our tax money to fund the bill has been nothing more than a foreign military adventure that has cost billions to the taxpayer, and more importantly, the lives of hunderds of servicemen and thousands of afghans. And to what end? We seem to be withdrawing with the job half done, not having had a proper exit strategy in the first place.
And these translators, high value assets, you wish to leave behind to take their chances! At least the MoD recognise their value, as do soldiers who have served over there. You have no argument beyond penny-pinching and some waffle about there being a higher risk to their safety in the UK, or that they just sat around on their backsides in Camp Bastion all day.

aog, that they are in great danger there has been demonstrated by your own link. I ask again whether your speculation that they might be in danger here was meant to be an argument against them coming here. If it wasn't, what was the point in your saying it?

Further, their efforts have been instrumental in getting the Taliban killed; interpreting is not mere translation of friendly chat, but is part of understanding what information locals can give about enemy activity and in knowing what the Taliban themselves are saying. Now, you expect us to believe that all this assistance is from people who love the Taliban and their jihadism and who will therefore try to kill us when they are brought here.
