Too dangerous for the masses? Especially the terminally stupid. To be fair I do have some sympathy with the girl here but really think it through!

The woman is an idiot. She accuses people of "judging me on one man's side of the story".
Er, not quite. In her own words (or in those she posted on Twitter):
“Definitely knocked a cyclist off his bike earlier”
That was not the victim’s side of the story, that was hers. However, after the excrement had hit the air conditioning, her version was somewhat different:
"He did wobble slightly but he was upright, he was fine.”
She needs to concentrate on her trainee accountancy (though that may be a bit difficult at the moment as I understand her employer has suspended her) and refrain from posting inane drivel containing details of her life in which nobody is particularly interested.

Most people open their mouth too quickly and say things they later regret. Twitter has the annoying habit of preserving those moments in cyberspace for all to see.
Some people seem not to realise this and therefore post all sorts of stupid nonsense only for it to catch up with them. Worse is when they type offensive stuff and apparently completely overlook the fact that the target may read it. Normally that was the sort of "private insult" that went on in places where the target would never know about it, but now it's in the open.
I made the mistake of googling my name shortly after making TV appearances. There were some nice comments about me, some weird ones and also the downright nasty. I doubt very much I was ever meant to read any of it (especially the marriage proposal...) but there it was in easy access.
Some people will never learn that the internet being open and free to all means that people can get hold of information about them just as easily as they can get hold of of what they want. While that continues, which will beas long as the internet exists, we'll have this sort of story popping up again and again.
