Ebay - Unfair To Sellers

I sold an item last Sunday and the buyer hasn't paid despite a polite reminder. She has 100% feedback so I wasn't too bothered...until I have just read her feedback. She has never paid for an item yet! Since Ebay did away with the facility for sellers to leave negative feedback, people like this woman can get away with it.
I have been in touch with Ebay and filed an unpaid item report. I did suggest she should be banned/suspended and their response was that if I leave any negative comments on her feedback I will be breaking their rules and I will be the one to be suspended! This is so bloody unfair.
Not a question really - more of a rant.

Why not get the money 1st before sending the item? BTW, I know nowt about Ebay.

carrust, no one sends an item out in the post without first having received the money.
I am ranting about how a seller can be messed about by a buyer and can get away with it

mrs_o any buyer can set up another eBay account to hide negative feedback.

You can leave factual feedback - payment not received.

Every business has to deal with numpties now and again.

I did NOT send the item off without having received payment! It is still sitting in front of me

i had sort of the same thing mrs o payed for an item never got it but took my money! i emailed ebay with the same email complaining about it 20 times a day til it got resolved and got my money back i now no longer buy or sell on ebay rip off!!

i'm still waiting for my garth jacket i paid for on 3oth april! it's coming from america and i paid £30 postage for the darn thing, the seller has not replied to my enquiries as to how and when they sent it but paypal have stepped in and now put a stop on the funds, which means she either will tell me when it was sent, tell me she sold it to someone else, or i get my money back. But when someone ignores you it is the most annoying thing because all this resolution stuff is complicated and long winded

douglas, what I am moaning about is the fact that there is a certain "buyer" who wins bids on Ebay but never ever pays for the goods.
The seller (me in this instance) then has to go to the trouble of opening a dispute (to claim back my listing fees) and then I have to eventually relist the item.
To add insult to injury, Ebay then tell me (the innocent party) if I leave anything negative on her feedback I may be suspended

I agree Mrs. Overall, because a seller cannot leave negative feedback to a buyer who consistently does not pay for items, it does not warn other sellers of a non payer. I normally put a negative answer along with the positive feedback.

sammy, I was categorically told that leaving negative feedback for a buyer is now against Ebay policy.
It is mad!

Mrs Overall, you can still click the positive box but leave a negative feedback in the comment box, something like AVOID this non paying seller. I have done this with no suspension from Ebay. In fact I did this only last week.
