I have met a few people like him on my American travels over the last 40 years but he is the exception, not the rule, as I find most Americans unerringly polite and respectful. There will be a lot of his compatriots living here in Britain which must be hiding under the table in embarrassment this morning.

I've often thought that if you had some kind of major conspiracy, the best way to ensure it's secrecy would be to get a few people to deliberately leak it with enough lunatic embroidery to make it unbelievable. That way, if anyone discovered it was real, there's no way that they could reveal it without being labelled a loony. (I'm not saying that's the case here, but supposing it was?)

According to O'Neill, When off-air, Alex Jones reverts to a normal, softly-spoken individual - which means that either his shouty rants are all an act aimed at gaining notoriety and followers of his websites, radio-show and blogs etc, books and all that jazz - or, that he is a kind of modern day Lord Haw-Haw for the New World Order, cleverly leaking out dribbles of the truth hidden amongst all the dross of his wilder imaginings :)
