Surely this cannot be another abduction case, let us hope that it is nothing more than the teenagers wish to remain in Britain?

Dou you really think she'd willingly relinquish a life of privilege with her family for the chance to stay here?
let us hope she is found safe and well. That her desire to stay in the UK would be granted if she was under pressure to marry someone not of her choice.
Could be that an arranged marriage was witing back home, could be that she has been abducted by Bond St street gangs.

Thats two too many could be's have an informed opionion. I hope she is safe.
There is not much information here to make any assessment. She may not have wanted to return to India. She may have relatives / friends here. She may have been set up to marry her ugly cousin. Anything.
May she be found safe and well, regardless of the why's and where fors.
agree.. ^
Maybe she was arrested for robbing Selfridges?
'Ugly cousin' Gromit?

You'll have the feminists after you - do you read lad's mags by any chance ?? ;-)
If we rule out avoiding or protesting against arranged marriage, we still have the problem of how a 17 year-old girl is to support herself. Any relatives here would surely tell the parents if the girl turned up at their home so that leaves the possibility that she had some secret romance set up, hence disappearing on the last day. That doesn't bode well.

You obviously didn't look at the link.

The teenager missing is female. Her 'Ugly Cousin' was referring to a male.
By the description, her parents sound very modern-minded - she's young and fashionable, and about to go to university - so I can't imagine she's fleeing from an arranged marriage. I think Fred might have hit on something with the secret romance.
it was men who raided Selfridges, and white by the looks of one of them, hiding behind a burqa, which Indian women generally don't wear,
She's just been found safe and well. LBC radio update.
So sorry, i may have the wrong girl thats been found in london.
was that the lass who was with the 35 year old, if she is fine that very good news indeed.
