I know that this isn't germane to the original post but I'm not sure why people go to places like Dubai on holiday. Its just a horribly hot hell hole, with posh and very expensive hotels. There are lots of beautiful places to holiday in...why go to a backward, undemocratic, dictatorship ?

I had a week in the Bay of Naples 4 years ago, and it was stunningly beautiful, with wonderful food and wine, and I haven't stopped talking about it since !

Is anyone really surprised by this? There are no "civilised" Islamic nations. The whole religion is a perversion of human rights based on the incoherant rantings of a paedophile. Just don't visit any of these sh1tholes, especially if you are female.

I lived in Aden, 1968 to 1971 and it was very much the same thing there.
A woman alone was 'fair game'. Even to the men on the compound gates who were there to 'protect' us.
