/// At Burnley Crown Court, jobless Ahmed, from Burnley, admitted causing racially aggravated harassment, alarm or distress and was jailed for eight weeks after a judge said referees were entitled to protection from badly behaved footballers. ///

Shouldn't this footballer have received a more heavy sentence due to him threatening to kill the referee's wife and children?

/// As the other players and spectators looked on, angry Ahmed was escorted off the field shouting: 'I’m going to burn your white house down and kill your wife and kids - I know where you live. I’m going to come and find your house.' ///

I thought this necessary since we hear so much of racism committed by whites, level playing field and all that.

I wonder how many times a white person has said to a referee 'I'm gong to kill you for that decision'?

Anotheolgit, you said " one never seems to hear of any black player being imprisoned for being racist on the field, but if you care to supply any links that prove me wrong, I am prepared to withdraw that statement." suggesting there are a fair few examples of white footballers who have been in gaol for the offence. You then come up with the name of an Ulster footballer who fits the bill. Are you honestly telling me you were aware of that case before you trawled through Google? So then, a solitary white player versus no black player, hardly rock-solid evidence of inequality is it?0
While I think more about it, was the Ulster incident not just a case of racist abuse by someone who happened to be a footballer rather than the racisim having any connexion to football?

///An Asian amateur footballer has been sent to prison for subjecting a referee to a 20-minute racist rant as he was being sent off.///

/// easily missed I suppose! ///

How many more times I was accused by FredPuli43 that "I" referred to the man's race in my OP.

/// AOG you referred to the man's race in your OP and subsequently and it is also part of the Daily Mail story you cited. It is gratifying that you noted it. ///

I personally 'DID NOT' refer to his race, the Daily Mail did, and I couldn't help that fact seeing it was in the 'LINK' to my thread.

If not you three, perhaps others can now see were I get accused of things that I have not committed, it only takes a person such as FredPuli43 to operate his usual twist on things.

/// Ha ha...how much did you sigh a breath of relief when you found that Belfast Telegraph story AOG? ///

Unlike some others. I am always willing to come up with the 'TRUE' facts, to prove a point,

Oh how I like to see a person frantically grasping at straws, when they are found to be wrong.

///and I couldn't help that fact seeing it was in the 'LINK' to my thread///

Once you had transferred it, you could have removed the word 'Asian' if you had wanted to before hitting 'Submit'

But there again, if you simply didn't see it...............
// Oh how I like to see a person frantically grasping at straws, when they are found to be wrong. //

Something we can finally agree on.

Like so;

I’m going to break every white bone in your white face’: Footballer jailed after racist tirade against match referee

Does 'grasping at straws' include arguing that black footballers aren't jailed for racism because only one Asian one and one white one could be found and that shows that the law is tilted? Never new that poor use of statistics wasn't grasping at straws, but there it is. What statistics do you have AOG to show that black players are in some way immune from prosecution?
Deary, deary me.........that's quite a pathetic attempt at wriggling off the hook.

Whilst you are quite correct in saying that the word 'Asian' wasn't actually typed by you it simply appeared in your cut and paste, I believe that you *did* compose the following:
///I thought this necessary since we hear so much of racism committed by whites, level playing field and all that.///
highlighting, once again, your obsession with race and what you consider to be aberrant behaviour by those of a different colour to yourself.
^'knew' not 'new' ^
Exactly jack. Omit 'Asian' from the headline , and then read the rest of the OP below it. Now what do you think AOG is posting about? And omitting the quotes you have only one plain meaning to deduce. And that is confirmed when you read other posts from AOG that follow.

Why did you post this story AOG? Did you think footballer jailed, without reference to his ethnicity, was a story of interest to you? Then why did you later, in the OP, say you thought it was necessary because we hear so much of racism committed by whites?
" one never seems to hear of any black player being imprisoned for being racist on the field" anotheoldgit, was the white footballer you mentioned, found guilty of being racist on the field?
