Is this not final proof, that no matter what the hand-wringing PC liberals on AB might say, the EDL are capable of attracting members who are willing to engage on discussions on Islam in a calm and considered manner?

"hard to say what it is, but it's strange that they arrest him whilst others with similar messages on the other side of the divide get the protection of the police."

Can you think of an example? I am struggling this morning.
If he was a clever boy ( not much danger of that) he'd tell the police the ' Boom' represented the surge of people converting to Islam ;-)

I think you could stretch the argument to say that the Muslim protesters who held up the 'death to British soldiers' banner were not arrested, but to be honest...I'm not sure whether that's right. Did they get arrested or not?

Or was that the poppy burners?

What's happening to my memory...?
plenty of arrests of poppy burners

I think the Poppy burners were "got" in some way?

Whatever has happened to yours has happened to mine.

I'm pretty sure the banner wavers on both sides got away with their nasty messages. Just not the chap with the silly tat.

Ahh...yes - one of the Armistice Day poppy burners got a £50 fine. Now I remember...

I don't know em - there's plenty of banner wavers who "got away with it" on the EDL side.

Can someone be arrested for having a swastika tattoo, for example?

Can anyone find a picture of this "Death to British Soldiers" poster as I think it has been made...

I love the fact that both EDL and Muslim protesters seem to have the same level of education.

One of the Muslim chaps is carrying a placard which reads:

FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION - GO TO HELL

Brilliant. Well done.

Thicko.

SP, //I love the fact that both EDL and Muslim protesters seem to have the same level of education. //

Exactly - just as I said in my earlier post. :o)
Bad news boys and gurlz,
bleeding heart liberals and the rest.

Tattoos have been the subject of criminal prosecutions
eek ..... or was it leather jackets....

anyway the Biker than desported ACAB on his chest/jacket
was convicted and that was ..... 1960s

The judge commented that this was the most despicable......
even tho the meaning had not been pleaded in court......
and gave out a prison sentence - may have been Melford Stevenson

By the way ACAB means
All coppers are bastards.

I am pretty sure it is in Smith & Hogan, relevant edition for erm 1970
Gromit - I would NOT have thought it was made up
but a difficulty to find in English

Urdu - no probs I would have thought but we have no urduphones on AB unless Khandro / brinjal are ?
I reckon that slogan is made up. Even if it is in urdu, there would be pictures, and there are none if you search. There are plenty of other dodgy banners, as per the link above.

Calling for soldiers to be killed would definitely be prosecutable, and there haven' been any.

But I realise a lot of people believe these myths and they do not need evidence.

How do you know he is a member of the EDL or just a nutter that has joined in the protest.

If he is charged I wonder what he will be charged with?

If found guilty will he be ordered to have the Tattoo removed, surely they can't do that, can they?

And if he doesn't have it removed will he be arrested every time he takes his shirt off?
Don't know about a placard Gromit, but this is pretty frightening and not an EDL member in sight.
