Is God Kinder Than Theists Think.

Theists believe the bible is true which means all the vengeance meted out by God resulting in death and suffering is true.

On the other hand Agnostics and some Atheists say if a God created the universe he is/was not responsable for what has happened on earth.

All that violence , cruelty , injustice to millions is entirely the result of man's actions.

Simply said non-believers see God , if he exists , in a much more kindly light than believers. Quite a paradox !

That does seem to be true. I'm an atheist, but not worried if I'm wrong as i don't believe I've done anything evil enough to be punished for. If my lack of worship is a major problem, then i don't want to spend eternity with a god that egotistical anyway

A senior Bishop is Scotland has "apologised" for decades of physical and sexual abuse of children at a Catholic School. Well, that's OK then.

In Algeria people have publicly eaten lunch during Ramadam as a protest against people who eat during Ramadam ( work that one out if you can )

These are just three important religious topics that I would welcome debate about, but all we seem to do on this section of AB is go over the same ground time after time, nitpicking. We are going round and round in circles, chasing those angels. Its like blo0dy Pseuds Corner.

mickey I agree with Naomi you have 3 valid R&S questions why not post them ? You can never gauge how many answers you are going to get or how many will go off at a tangent and/or argue with each other.
Sometimes it's a bit like ChatterBank but that doesn't really matter it's all good for discussion.

How can you say that modeller? IF God is omnipotent/perfect and created all, he IS responsible for all the misery.

Theists just choose to ignore the negatives parts of the ecclesiastical teachings and shift the blame to Men's independent thoughts. How can any deity be kinder than the followers think when he practiced cruel tricks like in Genesis22.

I dont believe in any God but if there was such a thing, I would hope he wasn't so disgustingly vile and evil as to cause so much unhappiness, death and suffering.
